Use it the way you want: enter all the people on your list and add gift ideas, or simply use it for due dates for your gifts. Also use for gifts all year round, not only for the holidays.
The dashboard and live tile will display the count for gifts due in the next 30 days (also optionally add to your lock screen so you never forget a planned gift).
Tip: Once a gift is given, change the date to a year later and automatically have it come back next year so you don't forget!
